DVD-News, ja, die gibt es auch noch...

Nach Wochen ohne nennenswerter Neuigkeiten, kann ich nun Gutes verkünden. Die Studios haben nicht damit aufgehört, Nachschub im Klassikerbereich aufzulegen und so beschert uns das Hause Warner im März gleich mit zwei neuen Sets.

Den Anfang macht die Warner Bros. Pictures Gangsters Collection Volume 3, die ab dem 25. März 2008 käuflich zu erwerben sein wird und sechs Filme aus der Zeit der klassischen Studioära beinhaltet:

The Bonnie and Clyde Ultimate Collector’s Edition will also contain collectible memorabilia, with a 36-page hardcover book of rare, behind-the-scenes photos, a 24-page reproduction of the original 1967 press book and special mail-in poster offer.

Besonders interessant ist dann noch folgender Punkt, der höchst vielversprechend klingt:

The DVD release will be included in Warner Home Video’s 85th Anniversary Celebration. The details of this initiative will be announced in January and will introduce a number of branded collections throughout 2008 -- new-to-DVD, High Definition debuts and Ultimate Collector’s Editions. Additional information will be revealed soon.
